Is $440 too much for 2 used 480's? - Page 5

200 each is fair, but I think these things should be kept in mind.

The MSI 970A-G45 runs at x16/x4, and does not support SLI. As far as I know the SLI patch doesn't work on AM3+ motherboards (although I could be wrong). Secondly, an FX 4100 is going to bottleneck two 480s severely. I would say don't waste the money for these reasons.

I'd counter with 400 aswell.
But I wouldn't test your luck going below 400.

Agreed.

If you can get it for 400$, then I'd say you got a good deal. thumbsupsmiley.png

I'm going Intel bud smile.gif I'm selling that FX 4100 rig right now on ebay. I'm getting AT least a 2500k and any SLI mobo I can get.

Oh nice. Have fun with the new build smile.gif When looking for a board just double check it does x8/x8 (instead of x16/x4) and make sure it supports SLI (some lower end boards actually don't).

It's kinda why I'm switching to Intel. If I want to go SLI I still need a new motherboard and cpu regardless of what brand, so if I'm going to spend MORE money than I already did, I'll spend it wisely this time!
