Auto
Slow Mode
6316 MT / s
7718 MT / s
8421 MT / s
Also, I cannot see turbomode Tech option if I change anything from Auto in bios

Use the slowest,as you have seen it increases depending on OC.
I doubt you would get it to post using 7718MT / s

Also, don't forget to enable turbo to bump the multiplier to x22 like this

x22 multi is notoriously bad for overclocking on 1st Gen i7,this is well known.
Without trying to offend you id recommend you re-do your own overclock as thaty likely the reason you need 1.5v for 4.4Ghz.

x22 is a no no,cause instability with no doubts.

What I did was just a quick 5 min validation on how high the RAM goes and I do apologize if x22 is bad, but for hwbot I don't think it's that bad.

Even still for ram purposes theres no need for 1.5Vcore, qpi/vtt or qpi pll should be adjusted if anything for running ram at 2Ghz.

dude, I have to bump the voltage and boot with the bootable BLCK and work my way up with EVGA eleet. If it's hard for you to get that
I'm sorry.

Slow down guys we're talking about 920 not 930 or w3530 so there is no x22 multi not even with mega uber tubo enabled. lol biggrin.gif

Katchin leave QPI link at auto or if you have to set it manually, use lowest value, there is no need to mess with other values with your goals. wink.gif

Thread Starter
Hi all, well, I tried a few different options, but went back to:-

384

Even under load I get good temps, and its a nice speed increase from 2.66 to 3.337. However I have had a crash which is slightly worrying, I was running a game when it crashed out, cannot imagine that the game caused more heat than Prime95, so assume it was some other instability.

Thread Starter
temps were getting a bit high whenever I tried higher clock speed / core voltage, also my ram had to be run at a slower speed, may not be important, but it seems like I should be running DDR3 1600 at near 1600mhz, not 1200 smile.gif
post #50 of 62
Could you post your last bios settings here. And speaking of temperatures how high are they?
Seams like you could bump your ram multi one more notch but first you have to find out what's bugging you...
