Guys, please get your facts right when recommending a motherboard or piece of hardware - if you are unsure all you have to do is locate the motherboard vendor's website or the threads like the above (courtesy of Smuckley) to get your facts right.

It's the difference between someone having the correct hardware or not.

Pretty sure Wingclip is sending back the ASrock and getting the EVO thumb.gif

Ok, ok. Thanks trucherguy but the links here show the ASRock at 4+1 and the Asus Evo at 6+2

http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=970%20Extreme4&cat=Specifications (7th listing= 4+1)

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/M5A97_EVO/

Next, I'm sorry Smuckley but that board wasted both of our times. The darn thing is discontinued and has some real questions about RAM that I don't like even if I could get one, (but I can't). Everyone ads that I have to call or wait 6 week, (and then call).

I'm going with the ASUS M5A97 EVO. It's 6+2 and has it all, (eSATA, USB 2 + 3) and the price is right. It's already on the way.

Thanks to everybody. Sometimes these things get real confusing when you start clicking faster than my computer can bring it up. If you don't write it down it gets mixed up, (for me anyways).

BTW, I have the ASRock right here in the room with me, (it came today and is going back tommorrow). Says 4+1
