AMD 64 x2 4200 Overclocking?

Hello,

I'm new to this website and fairly new to overclocking... That said, I have a AMD 64 x2 4200 processor that I would like to overclock for better performance. My Motherboard is a Foxconn C51 XEM2AA and I have 4 GB of DDR2 ram (800 MHz). The current CPU I have is a AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 processor running at 3.09 GHz. Which processor is best for overclocking and how do I max out the performance?

Thanks biggrin.gif

i had a 4200 befor i upgraded i had it stable up to 2.6 ghz so if your fx is running at 3.09 ide stick with that

I totally agree with you, but I would like to have some direction on how to overclock correctly and to ensure that I get the most out of the CPU.
