Stay clear of Alienware. Resellerratings.com explains all....

If you can find a laptop manufacturer that manages a LOWER score than that, then I applaud you.

I know that most say the horror stories are far and few in between but really, that's no excuse for such a terrible score. I really find it hard to believe that they've ever sold anything worthwhile.

Here's what Malibal, XoticPC, and PowerNotebooks all got too by comparison. Mind you, PowerNotebooks sells Alienware laptops too.

HA! http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Hewlett_Packard

Although you have a very valid point. 1920 reviews and 0.63/10.. no statistician can spin that, short of "response bias". Example: for every 9.37 people who are absolutely furious, 0.67 people are absolutely in loooove with their Alienware. +/- 0.67 people per 10 in favor. Eeeeee.

Dude, please.

Every post I've read of yours is bashing Alienware. You really need to find something better to do.

If someone wants a real, honest collection of opinions that aren't JUST made of of people who are in an angry state of mind looking for somewhere to bash a company, go to notebookreview.com and read about people's experiences in the Alienware forum. That's valuable information, this is garbage.

Also, I can say from first hand experience I have never experienced any of what the people on the first two pages are saying. I've had two Alienware systems and I've had to call support my share of times, they've always been awesome, polite, thorough, and professional. And just to clear up the blatant false posts, they're based in Costa Rica not India.

I also was not too impressed with Alienware when I ordered a laptop from them 6ish years ago. I also hated my desktop from dell around 8ish years ago. At the end of the day, I just hate Dell as a company wink.gif.

Although you are right, alienware products aren't of the highest quality(I've owned an m11x and both the battery and screen died on me within ~10 months of purchasing), however the support they offer is brilliant, all of the above was fixed within two days of me calling them. If you have a problem with alienware products I suggest you discuss it elsewhere, their reputation isn't all bad and degrading their image isn't something we exactly want here thumb.gif
