IMO it's about twice as fast/powerful as fx4100 :lachen.gif:
that's MY opinion tongue.gif

When you consider multithreaded performance if the 960T is unlocked to an x6, you're actually not far off tongue.gif

biggrin.gif iliyas..the i3 2100 i'm sure is a snappy CPU..i have a celeron g530 in my backup comp and it's
..pretty good biggrin.gif .960T Zosma overclocked is a fantastic cpu.I cannot emphasize enough how good it is :lachen.gif:even with a mild overclock..you should overclock..it's free performance

Thanks for the inputs. But Now im reconsidering the upgrade. Im planing to get i3 2100 or i5 2320 with asus p8h67-m-Le with corsair 4gb 1600mhz setup.
Now im confused between i3 n i5 . purpose same gaming, photoshop, n some overclocking using stock cooler. wat u all guys think. is i5 better than i3 coz by just paying 2k ie $45 over i3 im getting i5 with same MOBO.

Well of course its better. The i3 is a dual core with hyper threading, meaning 2 physical cores, 4 logical cores. The i5 is a quad core without hyperthreading meaning 4 physical cores, 4 logical cores. The 4/4 are going to be better than the 2/4 at things that use more than 2 cores.

If that is worth it to you is a different matter. In games, they will get equal performance as you will be limited by the graphics card. Cant say about Photoshop, as I have no experience there.

You won't be able to overclock either of those two Intel chips. Well, not by more than a few Mhz anyways.... They're locked.

The i5 is the better choice than the i3 or the FX4100. Plain and simple.
