Weird issue with bandwidth speeds

Thread Starter
I noticed my internet speed was running a little slower than usual so I tested all my other computers with speedtest.net. My computer was getting a download of 8Mbps, and all the others are getting at least 16-19Mbps. Even my phone running off the Wi-Fi is getting 19Mbps. I tried updating my ethernet drivers but every time I do the resolution goes down and MSI afterburner reports that my GPU drivers aren't detected. As if the GPU drivers were not installed. Any ideas?

Try uninstalling your drivers for your NIC and GPU then install the new NIC drivers and GPU drivers.

Try booting into Safemode. Do you get the same problem.

Perhaps there is a limit via QoS on your Router that has limited you to that speed?

Uninstalled both NIC and GPU drivers. After restarting it installed the latest NIC driver by itself for some reason. And then I installed the latest GPU driver. Same thing happens.

It seems like the latest GPU driver will only work with the previous version of the NIC. Installing the latest with the GPU causes the resolution to go out of whack.

And under safe mode it's just as slow, if not, slower.

Onboard NIC? Could be dying. frown.gif

Buy a PCI/PCI-E NIC card and find out!
