Hi @ all,

I hope anyone can help me out... first, sorry for my english, I do my best

I'm trying since 2 full days installing windows 7 on my new mainboard with RAID5 5x1TB HDDs.
So I want use 4TB one partition with installed windows 7 on it.

But I don't get it running -.-

I can boot my Windows in UEFI Setup, but I dont see my RAID5 to install it.

I tryed over diskpart to make partitions and a SYSTEM Partition with GPT, but I see only after installing the RAID-Driver from my CD the CD-ROM, but no Raid 5.
But in the diskpart and in the F10 prompt I can see my new C: with 4TB...

I'm using an external DVD-ROM Drive, only with this options I can see the UEFI Boot!

I haven't any idea more and Im tired to search any more option...

This is my last hope and way, that anyone know, what is fales...

I found your post befor I wrote my post.
I tried out your install guide, I made a GPT Table and so on, but Windows didn't show the "C:" to install it.
It's a little joke what W7 do... couse if I exit the diskpart, and I write in "c:" I'm in the partion what i made for a second?!

So, ok I found something new... I Have an older W7 Ultimate, the Mainboard says it isn't a UEFI boot.
I downloaded an evaluation DVD from MS, it is W7 Enterprise, here I can boot in UEFI, but I don't see any drives. (this is the Windows version, where I tried out your install guide)

I used than the AHCI and do into my old DVD, now I can see the 5 drives...

I think I need an other DVD-ISO, isn't it?

Do you have any sources where I can download the right Windows for UEFI boot?

Also, you may need the intel RAID drivers to view the array and install.

Hi Sean,

so I dl the iso from your link, it is W7 Ultimate 64bit.
I made the Raid, 4 TB.
I booted the new W7 DVD with UEFI Option, I found the Raid after installing the drivers.
It installed the Windwos, after then it needs to boot the first time, than it stopped with an blinken cursor

Do you know why and what I can do now?

In the boot menu I found the windows bootloader and my raid, but without UEFI name.
[EDIT]
In the bios self I see the windows bootloader with the UEFI logo, but the same error.

windows has finished installing from the DVD, than the first reboot, there must boot it with the raid to finish the windows installation, but i see only a blinking cursor on the left side on the top.
i can boot only again from DVD, but not from the raid...
any idea?

I think, the windows bootloader can't find the GPT table to boot from it?

In the boot priority list in the UEFI, what is the boot order? It should say Windows Boot Manager as the #1 priority and disable the others.

yes it is the onliest one, windows bootloader with the uefi logo on it...

I tried again to install the windows from a USB-Stick, the same

I don't know why is it so hard to install with an uefi bios a windows...
