The 2500K will smoke the Q9450. It will beat it in clock per clock performance and it will run much cooler. It is known by many on this forum that the 2500k can hit as high as almost 5+ GHZ on cooling like the H100 or even the good old D14. If you go with the 2500k and you will mainly be doing gaming, the Graphics card I recommend to pair with the 2500k would be the GTX560 Ti. But the 2500k can handle even the fastest Graphics card in the world with no bottleneck. If you decide to wait for Ivy Bridge, then the i5 would be the 3570K and the i7 will be the 3770K. You could also go for the new 7000 series Radeon Cards. All your preference.

sorry for foolish qusetion but you just want the CPU MOTHERBOARD and RAM for 30k right redface.gif
Core i5 12.5k
Gen Z / Gen 3 13k
8GB G.Skill RipjawX 1600Mhz for 3k
you might have to extend the budget for a Decent the cheapest cooler i would recommend is a 212 EVO for 2.1k you hit 4Ghz on a i5 with the easily ;p but for a 5Ghz Overclock you got to spend minimum of 5.2k on cooling and Bring in a D14 redface.gif so that will extend your budget to 35k to 37k eek.gif
