Can you give us a budget for a PSU? Also both gpu's are gonna need a power dongle I think namely the x800 series not sure on the x1600 for AGP though.

Of the two though i would get the x800 series for the sheer raw power and the modding of it.

i can probably have like 50-60 bucks for a PSU? haha is that enough? i don't know, most likely i won't be able to, if im able to how many watt PSU should i go for? and if im able to get a new PSU, that means a better video card is compatible, which i won't be able to afford.

so most likely ill be thinking about either x1600 or x800?, still don't know which one

$50-$60 should be enough for a decent PSU. I'm not the one to ask which one is better LOL

This would be your best bet. Very repituable(sp?) company around here.

Here's a good X800. $125

..and a X1600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102038

I'd strongly suggest the X800, unless you must have shader model 3.0.

1. The X800 has a 256 bit memory bus, which is much faster than the X1600's 128 bit bus.
2. The X800 has DDR3 memory, which overclocks a lot better than DDR2, which comes on the X1600.
3. Also, I think, the X800 has 12 real pipelines; the X1600 says it has 12, but it actually has 3 that can process up to 4 pixels at a time. This is why it looses miserably on certain games.

Check these charts. They're kind of useful for these kind of dilemas.

If you want an ATI card, then Radeon X850PRO 256MB for ~$136shipped which is moddable to an X850XT/PE, which is considered the best AGP card after the 7800GS.

X850PRO is a very fast card for AGP, I think that is your best bet out of all the AGP cards for under $200 (although they just announced the X1950PRO AGP for $199, if you can wait don't miss that one, its a hell of a beast).
