BIOS swapping in MSI 6950 TF II

Thread Starter
Hi, I want to replace BIOS in my MSI 6950 TF II which has the following parameters:
core clock is 810 and memory clock is 1250. I found BIOS which comes from MSI 6950 TF III and this one has 850/1300. In this case I have a question: can I replace BIOS in my card and which software should I use to do it ?

the TFIII bios will not play well with the TFII card. i have a TFII card and it was a hassle fixing this error (you have to create a dos bootup disk and fix it that way - otherwise you'll bsod every few minutes).

the easiest way to edit the bios that you have now is to extract the bios using GPU-Z or another similar tool. then use RBE (radeon bios editor) and overclock it that way - or try for your 1536 shader unlock.

my advice to you would be to use afterburner to overclock - you'll probably get more than 850 out of it anyway if you don't mind messing with the voltages a bit. there are guides i'm sure on here that'll help you with afterburner.

good luck.
