I can't decide, they both have good reviews and lots of recommendations, and they're the same price (give or take a few dollars).
Uses:
Music: Mostly Metal. Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, Iron Maiden, stuff like that. I'm a drummer and use them to play along with music, if that makes a difference.
Gaming: Mostly BF3

I'm using onboard sound, but I might get an entry level sound card eventually. My music is mostly flac files, even though there's probably no difference with onboard sound.

Vote please, I'm probably going to go with whichever gets the most votes. Thanks.

o.O actually, gamestop has the RX700s for $40, and I have a $25 gift card that I was trying to sell for cash, I'll just use the gift card and get them for $15.

Edit: lol, so I have a $25 gamestop gift card and a $27 visa gift card, and another visa gift card with $2 left on it. The headphones plus a $5 game I want are $52.30 including tax+shipping, but it wont let me pay with 2 credit cards, so I have to buy a gamestop gift card with the $27 visa gift card, and then use both gift cards plus the $2 visa gift card to buy them.

Is it too late now?
As you said already, they are pretty evenly matched.
However i just got a set of the Panny's and i am pleased with them, especially in this budget price range.
I have mine paired with an Asus Xonar DG, that has a built in headphone amp, that is also a budget sound card, but will be a big improvement over onboard sound.

Yeah you're too late, I already ordered the RX700s from Gamestop with my gift card, they'll be here tomorrow biggrin.gif Thanks anyways though. And I plan on getting a budget sound card after I get a new motherboard and ram. I was planning on getting an Asus Xonar DG or DS too, but I wan't a pci-e card since a lot of motherboards are coming out with no PCI slots or they have them right under the PCI-E 16x slot so you can't use it with a graphics card. I don't see very many cheap PCI-E cards though so I don't know. Maybe I'll try to find a used DX.
