one of if no the most skilled game i have ever played in years

So I think no one can debate that broodwar is still and will most likely be the most skilled game/highest skillcap for many years to come but recently i got back into the game Bloodline Champions after messing around in beta and i have got to say, this game has the HIGHEST skillcap i have seen in a while. I was into wow arena, by into i meant i did that whole politicing with r1 titles and by that stance that makes me hardcore with arena based gaming. i play sc2 and ive played numerous other games at a somewhat high level but none of them seem to pale in comparison to whats required in BLC.

The highest level of BLC has never been reached. for one its due to the inability to get constant ques for really good points but mostly because to get the highest level you would have to go 400-0 against the second best players which is of course insane. the reason this is important to me personally is because i enjoy playing games and attaining levels but i sometimes wish that when im at that certain level that i can stomp anyone below me. in games like wow often times you run into players worse then you that can still compete at some level because the skill cap is rather low. being .4 seconds faster at something isnt a big deal in some games but in BLC .4 seconds is the ENTIRE time you have to react before your reaction is wasted or even costly of the match. furthermore you are not presented with 1 chance to react to said .4 sec ability but MANY that must all be met to gain an edge, i digress tho.

One of the other key features they have is strategic complexity that exists primarily in wow but some in Moba games like LOL. the class counter is a common usage in RPG games that involve pvp and this is less profound in LOL and more so in say wow. the reason is that because in lol overall strat is more important then a specific classes comparison to one other class and you can distinguish yourself elsewhere while in wow you are forced to deal with your "counter" the entire time. whats nice about BLC is that to "counter" someone is just to be harder to hit. what i mean by that is, in this game you aim everything. EVERYTHING. so while a melee class needs to be close to do damage, a "counter" has anti melee abilitys that just make hitting them harder. an example of this is a glutton can throw a shield that does damage when hitting it, yes it stops your dps and can damage you but it doesnt outright ruin your class and simply having a dispell allows for a minor hiccup and back to your normal roll. this is important when talking about skill because in a game where .4 seconds is huge the culmination of the many "hiccupts" you avoid or deal with lead to your victory or not. this game is a momentum game. even a counter who cannot keep momentum loses outright to the class hes countering that can. mastering a strat and being accurate are huge deals which brings me to my next point.

You can dodge anything and everything must be aimed. you cannot fathom the complexity of dodging constant spells that require this .4 second response time. every class has a features that are not common in other games as a static stat and these are size and speed. a class that is larger is easier to hit but reduces damage because he is classified as a tank, furthermore classes that have higher speed will never be able to be meleed by those with less speed then them long enough to matter if you are able to budget cooldowns properly. also the higher ones speed is, the more likely he is to dodge other attacks from a distance. there are some people who have played the game and say oh well its easy to dodge these spells. its true that it is if thats all you are focusing on. if you HAVE to cast heals you are less likely to dodge a CC for example which leads to VERY high level posturing where people fake throwing CC. faking a cc in this game is showing your hands glow a certain color.... its hard to notice and your awareness must be over the top. if a team has pressure from being accurate they become MORE accurate because you cannot afford to have less uptime by dodging instead of say dpsing or healing. a steamroll effect of inaccuracy often times just leads to utter defeat

Overall this game has more things then any other game before it. here is the list

Reaction speed and situational awareness equal to that of .5 seconds on 3 targets at all times
the ability to predict enemy movements for spells to land while also dodging an enemy doing the same thing
your normal understanding of all classes and how they function
proper coordination and composition that is also another hallmark of Moba and other rpg pvp games

overall its insane to explain or even watch and get what im talking about. i will end with this i suppose, if you hate wow arena because its rather easy. if you wish to compete in a game that is even less random then say sc2 (sc2 is a bit more random then ppl like to admit) and if you just want a challenge like you never have had before (no one has been to rank 30 in this game or even close) its only BLC. LOL HON DOTA, they are all skilled games but BLC has all of the things those games have with added constant aiming, dodging, and reacting within .5seconds. there is nothing like that in those games ( sorry moba fanboys its just a fact..) then you just have to try BLC.

this game is not for those that give up easy, casuals be warned

I read your entire post, but it made my head hurt. I'm slightly interested in the game now, but if you want people to take you seriously, I would suggest cleaning up the grammar and formatting of your post.

Watched the trailer on the main page, looks really good. Reminds me of pvp in Diablo II. May download it later.

K so after playing the game for almost an hour I'm kind of getting the hang of it. Honestly though if they want to attract new players and keep them they need to work on the tutorial. After finishing the tutorial I figured I had a basic grasp of the game. Only to play my first multiplayer match and get my ass kicked. After going back and doing a few single player matches I began to get a feel for the game. Since then I've gone 2-3 in matches and I'm starting to have some fun. They leave way too much up to the user to learn though. The tutorial allows you to control a ranged damage dealer, but they never talk about the other classes. At least give a basic strategy for which classes are essential to a 3v3 team. I tried playing as healer, but couldn't heal very much and the other team would always gang up and kill me. Tried playing tank, but couldn't really mitigate much damage before death. So far the only classes I like are Harbinger and the Ranged classes. Here's my graphic illustration of the expected learning curve in this game the way it's setup:

468

It's definitely not a game I would recommend for pugging if you like to win. You'll need two buddies and set strategies.
