Steamtool Library Manager

Thread Starter
So I have a couple a SSD dirves and buy most of my games through steam, I had an issue sith steam installng everything on one drive without giveing me an option to install games where ever I want. I looked online and found almost nothing useful on the steam site and only a few suggestions online. So I stumbled accros Steamtool and BAM I can install games from my SSD to my HDD with full steam support, all games launched through steam. Why isn't this built into steam and why isn't this shouted ALL over the net.

Anyways I just got this working and its great for all my steam games. The games that Im currently playign I can put on my Fast SSD and the others on my HDD. Its awesome.

And I'm sure a good one too, why hasn't steam offered this in their software. My only guess is maybe it can be used somehow to run non steam stuff. I dunno, It makes no sense why steam hasn't included the feature

I haven't ever needed this since I buy hard copies of my games. But I'm leery of programs which modify the registry by adding junctions.

I'm curious, what happens when you move a game somewhere, then move it again, then move it again, then move it again? Does it create a junction to a junction to a junction to a junction? See where I am going? After a while your registry could get very bogged down if that's how it works and it's used a lot.

I'm not bashing it at all. If I ever needed to do this I wouldn't hesitate. But I haven't needed to yet and I would probably do it myself anyway.

The program only allows installed games to go 1 lateral move both ways. So from Steam to 1 alternate drive/location and then back to steam if you want. Once the games is moved to the ALT space it can only go back to the original steam or like you siad, it would cause problems. The software is clean as far as I can tell and it really saves me the trouble of doing in manually, (which i can do but this is much easier)
