HELP!!! Icons messed up [SOLVED]

Well im still pretty new here and i didn't know where to post this but i have a question

Question:
I recently OC my CPU and i noticed when i had alot of tabs open in chrome (25+) and some folders in the back open that windows explorer crashed (alot). so now i down-clocked it back to normal and when i booted up the windows log on sound cut off half way and played again, also my icons are MESSED up and things are slower and when i clicked on change icon it played a quick white noise sound really loud.

I have no idea if its the OC or a virus. i can understand windows crashing, comp. slower because of OC even if i restored it, damage would of been done but the icons? it could be related but why are only some white noised, some messed up and whats with the white noise sound. while i type i am running a virus scan so hopefully its nothing. One other theory is that since i am only using fans maybe it overheated my GPU and its a bit messed up but maybe not because i use a Antec three hundred and i got alot of fans.

can some on please help me!!!!!!!

Probably the bad OC messed up your icon cache.
Go to User/AppData/Local and delete IconCache.db.
Then restart explorer.exe and check if issue is fixed.
