Thread Starter
Well, I'm creating a Library Management System on Access for my GCE O Levels Computing Studies Coursework, and having some problems. The problem is quite complicated, any Access expert out there who can help me? Post here, and I will PM you. Thanks.

Please do not simply ask us to help you make the whole project.
Just post your specific problem here so we can help you with it.

There is no need to PM users for help because I'm sure you'll get a much better response in a thread.

In case you want to know, I have taken this exam too in 2010, but I chose to make a " Restaurant Order Processing System". It was a fairly tedious process making it and writing all the documentation but content-wise, it wasn't too hard.

I hope you have done at least something on your own by now since the deadline for submitting this project, as far as I remember, is within a couple of months.

Thanks for the response. Well, I'm done with making tables and forms, but stuck at some points.

Here, when a book is returned, the box is checked. I want to link this to a query where there would be name of members who haven't returned the books by due date. Things have turned pretty much complicated now.

I do understand a bit of what you're trying to do but would you mind posting a screenshot of the "Relationships" tab so that I know what is linked with what?

Anyway, besides that, a tip for you would be to keep it simple and follow the guidelines as they are provided by CIE (or whichever board you are taking it through). No need to do anything complicated at all. I got away without making a switchboard even (and pretty much all my classmates made it) and I followed the instructions to the point. As long as you can have enough to prevent them from penalising you (according to the mark scheme posted online), you have absolutely enough.

EDIT: Refer to page 39 to 42 of this: PDF

Here's the screenshot of the relationships. Well, I'm trying to make it as simple as possible, but there's my teacher who will check it, and he wants me to fill it up with stuffs, which I don't really want. If you need the whole file for better understanding, I can PM you with the link. Thanks a lot.
