I recently asked my girlfriend to marry me, happened saturday night, lol. Money is tight but I can build a computer. I've been looking around and think this is a pretty good deal, its a barebones deal from TigerDirect. Linky. Thoughts on this?

Case is horrible.
Power supply provided with the case is terrhorrible.

Other than that, it should run okay,. but the power supply is not a good one if you want it to last take something else.

On a side note : Did she said yes rolleyes.gif

looks good at budget, but dont expect to overclock it or play anything beyond flash based web browser games.

Power supply is a under par. Add a video card and you can do some gaming.

Off-topic - She did say yes, lol.

On-topic - I realize the case and PSU suck but as soon as I can save up more money I can upgrade. Will the PSU power a 6870 or 7770?

Thanks adamkatt

Edit - Figured out my PSU Situation, I have a freind that has a 610W PC power and cooling supply that he can give me. Linky

It should be able to run that 7770 too !

DON'T GET ONE. these are configured for the lazy and are most often impractical and a ripoff!

Your own config and choice will save you money because you don't spend on redundant parts like that incapable PSU.

I agree if you are lazy take this bundle, if not then picking every pieces up by yourself would probably end up costing less or same but with better parts.

Yes, you can probably get a combination for the same price with a better CPU, mobo, case and dual channel RAM for the same price.
I estimate that it is possible. Look for a config from me later today.
