Duly noted. Waiting until $400 is available would be better, but $500 would be even better. But some of us scrape together a system and slowly build it better. No, it is not cost efficient. I run the best system I can, then I rob from it to build my newer system. It was a sad day when I retired my AMD Thunderbird, but I may bring it back with Lubuntu. But my P4, PD, and C2Q succeeded it. And now I am building a socket 1366 since people are getting rid of them.

Seagate 500GB HDD 49$
Total 284$ you can go with a single
2GB 11$ that will cut your budget to 275$
