replacement thermal pads for VGA blocks?

Thread Starter
Anyone have any recommendations as to where to purchase some replacement thermal pads for my EK water blocks on my gtx 480s?

Not sure how much to get or where a good price point would be - never had to buy replacements before.

I was thinking...one of these? or maybe 2?

http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g8/c487/s1294/list/p1/Thermal-Thermal_Pads_Tape-Thermal_Pad_-_VGA_Block-Page1.html

Also, not sure how thick I need the pads to be. I see ranges from .5mm to 1.5mm

I got mine from frozencpu. Just make sure when you replace them you put the correct thickness on. Some of them are 1mm and some are 1.5mm. You can see where they go in the instructions

FOR 1 480 you would need
2x http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11661/thr-89/Fujipoly_Premium_Thermal_Pad_-_Mosfet_Block_-_100_x_15_x_10_-_Thermal_Conductivity_60_WmK.html

of course double that for 2 thumb.gif

np. Yeah it does suck that it costs so much. For my 2 480's I think it was almost 30 bucks in thermal pads alone. redface.gif
