Hi

I've tried searching various threads for help and answers prior to posting this question but apologies if I have missed anything.

Here's a list of my components.

P8Z68-V LX
i5-2500k
16gb Kingston Hyper-X Grey
Corsair 120gb Force 3
Antec Truepower 650w
Windows 7 64 bit

I'm having problems with my display output and it's a little confusing, or at least it is for me.

If I set the 'Initiate Graphic Adapter' to IGPU and connect my monitor to the motherboard using the DVI-D connection I get no display until I get to the Windows 7 log in screen, then after a few seconds there is a click and the display switches off almost as though it's lost power.

If I set the 'Initiate Graphic Adapter' to PCI/IGPU and connect my monitor to the motherboard using the DVI-D connection I get exactly the same as above.

If I set the 'Initiate Graphic Adapter' to IGPU and connect my monitor to the motherboard using the DVI-D connection and add a discrete graphics card to the PCI-E slot I get a signal.

The discrete graphics card works fine when set to PCI/PCIE or vice versa and the DVI-D cable is connected to my graphics card.

Has anybody got any ideas why this may be? I have updated the bios to the latest version, restored the bios to default settings and I'm not overclocking anything.

I do plan to use a discrete card in my setup, however mine was faulty and I'm going through the RMA process. The one I'm using as described above has to go back tomorrow and was hoping to get the i2500k graphics working in the meantime so I can continue to use my PC

Any help gratefully appreciated. smile.gif
