[WCCF] NVIDIA Kepler “GK104″ GeForce GTX 670Ti Arrives in March 2012, Performs better than GTX 580 and HD7950 - Page 3

I dont thing it will be lower then $500. Its Nvidia we are talking about here. If its as fasts as HD 7970 why price it lower? There are plenty of people that will buy it just because its a Nvidia card. They dont need the lower price to get sales out of HD 7970 because those people that did want a HD 7970 already got one and if they do try to sell it for less its probably as a result of HD 7970 dropping in price.

Yes. Many people would by it just because its nvidia but there are just as many people who buy stuff based on price and performance. It they use aggressive pricing they might be trying to retake some market share form AMD.

Based on what you're saying, every card released, which performs better than the current beast will have higher price. I dont wanna see $650 HD8970 / GTX780
Prices just need to drop.

People think that's unlikely, so how likely do you think this is? This would also push the price of the 580 down to, what, <$200? It would never happen. Well, not any time soon that is.

Fermi's cores aren't as "fast" as G100(GTX 285) yet a GTX 480 is often more than twice as fast in games and single- and double-precision. Some things you can't scale with clock speed, so you have to add more cores to increase parallelism.

Not saying this rumor is true, but that would explain the number of cores.

Given that it's a x70 series, it's a very big possibility it will do Tri-SLI.

To people arguing about the cuda cores, remember that hotclocking is gone so kepler cores are substantially weaker than Fermi cores. where's GK110 or GK112? Article says Q4 - really?

[WCCF] NVIDIA Kepler

I would say it will cost around $350 since its a midrange card, gk104 ISN'T the high end card, the high end card is the gk 110 and nvidia will hold it until amd releases their refresh (hd 8970)
