The norprene stuff is good, too, if you don't want clear tubing.

holy crap, it's over $50 for 10 feet!

yea i guess there would be an uproar if they used leechy plasticizer in our drink carriers...
pop/sodas have some pretty harsh acids and staining color so I guess it will almost certainly be "good" by that very fact?
I don't imagine Tygon beverage tube will be very flexible though.
Thanks for the input! Warning/review placed on Primoflex clear 10' sold at Amazon.com.

beverage tubing is stiff as a corpse in rigormortis due to the reinforced sidewalls. try the tygon norprene stuff and see if you like the feel. i love it but it does kink super easy. i got mine off of frozencpu.com $22 and change for 13 ft.

Brand: Primochill LRT
Source: Koolertek.com
Purchase Date: Not too sure, approximately early summer of 2010. I would say mid-June.
Color: UV Blue
Transparent? (y/n): yes
Liquid / Additives: distilled water
Kill Coil (y/n): yes
PH Balance: not sure
Block Material(s): copper
Tubing Dimensions: 1/2" ID 3/4" OD
Period of Time: almost 2 years
Tubing Condition & Description: appears to be close to brand new.
Notes/Comments: UV glow appears to not have faded at all, no clouding whatsoever. My system was offline for about 3-4 months, and during that time, it just sat there, filled with water, not operating at all. So, the water sat stagnant in the tubing.

I am having this same issue, within the first day of using they are cloudy. However, none of my blocks have gotten any sort of issues with them at all (as of yet). I will update thread with more info in the coming week.

As I recall, Primochill tubing has an anti-bacterial coating on the inside of the tubing, so could that be causing the immediate clouding? Upon closer inspection of my tubing, I have a layer on the inside of the tubing as well, and sticking my finger in there would rub it out.

This is B-44-4X 3/8-5/8 100-foot rolls @ $50. They are labeled as Coca-Cola company beverage tubing but I called Saint-Gobain to make sure and they said it is indeed the B-44-4X formulation. Anyways it works great in my loop, be running about 2 months with HydrX with no signs of clouding at all.

Brand: Promochill PrimoFlex Pro LRT
Source: Jab Tech
Purchase Date: March 24, 2011
Color: Clear
Transparent? (y/n): Yes
Liquid / Additives: Distilled only
Kill Coil (y/n): Yes
PH Balance: Not tested
Block Material(s): Copper & Nickel
Tubing Dimensions: 1/2" ID 3/4" OD
Period of Time: 13 Months
Tubing Condition & Description: Milky white & water started clouding over past month
Notes/Comments: This was a rebuild of the loop after the water turned a very cloudy brown color after three months with DI water, PT Nuke CU, and Tygon Silver tubing. There was a lot of inorganic crap in the water, so everything was torn down, cleaned, and rebuilt using the LRT tubing, DI water, & two silver coils. I don't recall when the tubing started to get milky, but I wasn't concerned until the I started seeing the cloudy color in the water. I'm going to drain the system this weekend and see if there is any floaters in the water, but my guess that will be the case and I'm looking at a tear down & cleaning again. If I do end up tearing everything apart, I'm definitely going with either Tygon 2001 or other food grade tubing this time around.

Here is a second sample of tubing I'm trying out, after ditching the 10' of Primochill LRT angrysmiley.gif
I hope it will be helpful since no one else has contributed it to the spreadsheet yet:

Brand: "Duralene"
Source: Sidewinder Computers
Purchase Date: June 10, 2012
Color: Clear
Transparent? (y/n): Yes
Liquid / Additives: Distilled H2O + PT Nuke (CuSO4)
Kill Coil (y/n): No
PH Balance: Not tested
Block Material(s): Nickel plated copper
Tubing Dimensions: 1/2" x 3/4"
Period of Time: About one month
Tubing Condition & Description: Clear and smooth when new. Still new and clear after one month. No "tackiness", no dust and fingerprint buildup.
Notes/Comments:
$0.69 per foot, clear only, slightly harder than Primochill LRT but will bend without kinks from CPU to GPU block.
Bore has small divots, not as smooth as PrimoChill but does not affect anything.
Slightly "oily" feeling on the inner radius of bends, though no detectable oil on fingers.
Doesn't seem to affect performance.
