Going for an mATX build-Any ideas?

Hi, I'm new to OCN and I would like to get any ideas for an mATX gaming build. Here's what I have in my mind so far:
i5 2400-RM583 ($193)
Intel DH67BL-RM299 ($99) (Should I get a Gen3 board?)
WD Caviar Blue 500GB-RM244 ($81)
Sapphire 7950-RM1569 ($519)
Seasonic S12II 620W-RM299 ($99)
Kingston 1x4GB 1333 RAM-RM66 ($22)
Silverstone Fortress FT03 Case-RM584 ($193)
LiteOn 24x DVD Writer-RM60 ($20)
Total price in US$: $1226
Prices quoted in Malaysian Ringgits and US dollars.
Oh, should I go for a GTX580 instead? Tempted to go for hackintosh. wink.gif
My total budget would be around 1250 dollars for that. biggrin.gif

You might consider the Fractal Design Arc Mini instead. It is about a hundred dollars cheaper and still a fantastic looking and sturdy-built case. Maybe you are looking for different things, but SPCR gave the FT03 a rather rough review, and so I have stayed away from it, myself, in mATX build ideas.

It's pretty rare here in Malaysia....
Anyhow I managed to find one of these. Oh, does it fit long graphics card without removing the HDD bay?

the Intel DH67BL borad looks pretty good but if you want the ultimate in gaming mobos in the mATX range look at the ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z/GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard.
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/Maximus_IV_GENEZ/

thats under the assumption you want a gaming rig as well as everything else rig lol
It will set up back another $90 tho.. but is well reviewed and worth it..

@sooyong94
what would it be used for? and on what resolution? 7950 is a beast but if the monitor won't display it's full potential then it's kinda a waste.

btw you really should get a GEN 3 board.
there are other m-atx boards out there if you dont want the MaximusIV
you are ready to dish out some cash on the GPU but is kinda neglectling the mobo. Get a Gen3, it's for best performance.

If only for gaming, just wait for 7870.
in terms of power, it's better than 6950 but with less power consumption.
can be said that it has the performance of GTX570.
then just invest what you have saved on HSF and case fans.
you won't need 7950, it's overpriced as of now.

If ur gonna get a 7950, getting a gen3 mobo would allow it to perform to its full capacity. get the asus maximus iv gen-3 gene-z. its a z68 mobo and can support an ivy bridge cpu (if u can wait till then). if u want a smaller case go for the thermaltake armor a30, its 90 bucks cheaper and really compact.
