I don't think it's cool to get shot by some dude who's CLEARLY HOPPING OVER AN OBSTACLE (know the animation that occurs when you "jump" over something? that's what I'm referring to) on your screen, but on his screen he's been done with that and has been shooting you ever since.
Of course, there's also the whole, "Wait, I'm taking cover yet I'm still getting hit?!" crap due to the same reasons.
My connection and PC should be good enough, and the servers that I mainly join are apparently near my area (LA, SD.. sometimes NorCal servers, but it shouldn't be THAT BAD). So yeah, please fix that issue smile.gif

I totally agree. It's sometimes so bad I simply cannot stand to play anymore. I can tolerate hackers and other horrible game mechanics to an extent, but actually being dead before the death registers on my end is so freaking annoying, ESPECIALLY when I duck back behind a corner and run the opposite way for a good half-second or two before dying.

On a side note.....anyone know how to decrease 360 controller dead zone? I usually use a controller as 95% if the time in in the air or a tank, but for that other 5% being able to aim would help LOL. My god the controller cannot even move in a smooth circle.

anyone looking for a real military-sim and not this COD garbage should try Arma 2. I've been playing it for a while now, but I've only come to appreciate it after playing bf3. there's a free multiplayer version out called Arma 2 Free with an active community as well.

Good game though, like how they have so many vehicles but lots of ground combat as well.

I'm usually playing with around 15-25ms latency so I expect my character to be almost exactly where I put him. And yet somehow the majority of my deaths are from getting shot around walls that I've already taken cover behind. It essentially makes it impossible to reflexively get behind cover, once the guy starts firing you might as well be dead. I cannot fathom why the server still thinks my character is 5 meters behind where I see him when I'm playing at such low latency, and even more surprising is why this hasn't been fixed yet.

Also why haven't weapons like M320 and USAS been deleted from the game? Atleast the USAS requires an extremely basic level of aiming, but there's no reason why the M320 even exists in it's current state.

Overall I feel that BF3 cares more about realism than it does about fun. I feel MW3 actually beats it in that category (*puts on flame suit*).

i suggest you buy a dirt cheap sound card, just to check if it would solve the problem. if it does then you can think about buying a proper dedicated sound card.

I had this exact problem with realtek onboard sound causing system freezes in BC2. The audio would pause with a buzzing sound with a complete system lock. I solved it by
updating the sound drivers. I have had no problems since with any games.

6.0.1.6316 is the version of the driver I am using now, taken from the info panel in realtek HD control panel.

You are behind my friend! But yes, simulation-wise there is no better. There are just a lot of subtle tweaks to the game engine and playability that bohemia needs to make that Im sure they haven't for this release.
