Convince Me to Buy a PS Vita

Thread Starter
Okay, I have a 3DS that I only use for playing Pokemon, and I have been thinking about selling my Ipad.

So should I go ahead and pre-order the PS Vita or should I wait and see how good it is? Also if I get it from Newegg, I should get it in three days right? Or is there going to be backorders or something?

I would wait if I were you.
Personally I would wait only because there is a much higher chance of you getting burnt if it comes out and it sucks.

I was interested but as time went on I think waiting is the best option here. Personally not many of the announced games interest me despite liking the design of the Vita itself. I also suspect a price drop or some bundle shortly after release due to the lackluster sales reports from Japan.
I've got one in front of me. For now, the games aren't as great given that it's a week before its official release. But everything looks pretty promising. The build quality is solid, the Little Deviants game that it came with can actually be pretty fun and addicting. I mean, who DOESN'T want to twist and turn to shoot at imaginary robots? The software integration for their touchpad/screen and motion sensors + camera are spot on. Until more games come out, I'm not sure how I can convince you. But as far as I can say, this is really like a PS3 portable.

Wait, Sony always releases a Slim version. I remember when I got my PSP at launch, after a year or so, it was lame and fat.
Maybe we'll get a price reduction sometime before the summer if it doesn't sell well.

Lol, I dont see how the Vita can get any slimmer tbh. In fact, I love the current size of it, as if it were too thin, the back touch panel would be too difficult to use. Sony really studied and researched on the ergonomics on this device.

I am personally going to get it once Gravity Daze (I prefer it to Gravity Rush), cos this is the one AAA Vita game that is original. and then, Hot Shots Golf as well. And I personally dont like people not buying the consoles just so Sony will drop the price. Cos Sony really did very well with the Vita, compared to the 3DS, and I would feel sorry for them, if the Vita didnt do so good.
