[MT] AMD Will Launch Three New Bulldozer CPUs In Q1 2012 - Page 7

LOL @ all the intel fanboys talking trash about BD who have no clue because they have never owned it. I have owned and benched both the FX-8120 and the 2500k. Each have their strengths and weaknesses. From my tests under PerformanceTest 7, when it came to CPU Mark, the FX-8120 beat the 2500k. Especially with floating point where the FX-8120 annihilated the 2500k. But unless you're benching, you really would have a hard time telling the difference between the two.

These might be the chips IBM produced...if so...wheee.gif

Well, I'm no fanboy of anything, but I can already tell that your "testing" is biased and, to be blunt, worthless. You're comparing an AMD 8-CORE CPU to an Intel QUAD CORE CPU and harping about how good the AMD CPU is?

That's pretty pathetic.

That's pretty pathetic.

Please tell me how my tests are "biased". I'm not harping about anything, only stating the facts.

No, you were harping about how smart you are and how great the Bulldozer chip is. The fact is that it's not a great chip. And I've never owned anything but AMD CPUs, so you can't label me as a "Intel fanboy."

The fact of the matter is, that the FX8120 is an EIGHT CORE CHIP. You're comparing it to a FOUR CORE chip. It's biased. Compare a BD 4 Core and Intel's 2500K. Bet your numbers aren't as good as an eight core.

If you haven't owned BD, you have no room to talk. Plain and simple. You also might want to do some research as to how Windows treats the FX-8120 with patches installed. It does not treat it as an 8 core cpu, but rather 4 core.

because you think comparing a 8 core vs a Quad core makes sense then you go on and say how the AMD is so much better har har har you trolling bro?

Honestly I wouldn't trust any "tests" from you or that spammer who keeps promoting his AMD blog. No offense.

Unbiased reputable guys like Anand Shimpai and others are so much more reliable. They don't have some hidden agenda to glorify AMD like you seem to do in every post.

But let me guess, your excuse is Anandtech, Techpowerup, Hexus, etc are all Intel paid pumpers right?

And before you accuse me of being a fanboy, I buy only the fastest performing parts with no concern to cost.

What is weird about this is they are releasing all of the cpus with double the memory of the first revision of bulldozer.Maybe making a modified cache to accomodate 2 core modules?

I'm not sure if it really is double or just advertising the L2 and L3 combined as another poster stated. 16mb L3 would be monstrous though.
