Microsoft has the best services, which beats Amazon and Google

Most likely it would be a `Trial` to give you a taste. I really hope they don't try to force cloud only. That would suck.

"The Cloud" is anything not stored exclusively locally. This includes anything online, such as, for example, OCN. Whether or not that is really integrated with anything else isn't relevant.

I don't really see why this could possibly be a bad thing to integrate into windows unless you can't turn it off though for all the naysayers...

This.

I have almost nothing on any of my hard-drives that I would like on the cloud. And I would think that this is especially true for people with dial-up or slower satellite Internet connections. The stuff I would be comfortable having on the cloud would be copies of my music and most of my photographs, but I would still need to have local copies for all of those.

Regardless this doesn't hurt Windows 8, I think they'll be able to treat your cloud data just like one of your hard drives, but they're not forcing you to use the cloud, it's optional.

I'm in complete agreement.

QFT on above. Cloud computing has a lot of issues, security, reliability, etc. I would rather control my own data, my own system, for obvious reasons. Spoken from a IT professional, MCP/MCTS, and an advocate for cloud storage and certain services, but not for main storage or being forced into it.
