I'm not sure how the P5LD2 is different from the P5WD2-Premium but for the basic overclock it all is pretty much the same so, fallow some of these steps:
Few overclocking tips for the P5WD2-Premium:
Configure System Frequency/Voltage:
1-AIoverclocking set to "manual"
2-CPU Frequency is where you can change the fsb of your CPU. Start @ 250.
3-DRAM Frequency is where the fsb of the RAM is. Set @ DDR2-830 for a 3:5 Ratio.
4-Performance Mode set to: Auto
5-PCI Express Frequency, set to: 105
6-PCI Clock Synch Mode, set to: 33.33MHZ
7-Memory Voltage: 2.1v or 2.2v
8-CPU Voltage Core: 1.4125<--Leave to AUTO if 250fsb is what you'll use.
9-fsb leave at AUTO
10-MCH Chispet voltage, set to: 1.55v <---leave to AUTO if 250fsb.
11-ICH leave at AUTO.
Advance CPU settings:
2-Max CPUID: Enabled
3-Execute Disabled Function: Enabled
4-Enahanced C1 Control: Enabled
5-CPU Internal Thermal Control: Enabled (if 300fsb+ set to: Disabled)
7-EIST: Automatic (if 290fsb+ set to: Diasabled)
Advanced Shipset Settings:
1-Cinfigure Dram Timings By SPD: Disabled
2-Set to 4-4-4-12-4
3-DRAM ECC Mode: Disabled
4-Hyper Path 3: Enabled (if 250fsb+ set to: Disabled)
5-DRAM Throttling Threshold: AUTO
6-Boot Graphics Adapter Priority: PCI-Express/PCI
Some other things I do is to disabled the 2nd PCI-Express LAN, the SATA Link controller and ITE Controller. Sound I also do because I have an Audigy Card. Parallel and Serial ports are also disabled.
USB 2.0 is set to full speed for the highest transfer data possible.
The settings I suggested are for 250fsb but you can and will reach a higher fsb with the Big Typhoon, maybe 275fsb. But remember that at 275fsb, RAM at a 3:5 ratio will be at DDR2 966 speeds and maybe you'll have to lower the RAM to a 3:4 ratio.
