Doesn't matter how you spin it mate, you cant cool to below ambient using the air in room. Your not at 19C idle. Not sure about AMD but the Intel Chips sensors aren't very accurate at lower temps, perhaps the AMD chips sensors suffer the same issues. Load temps are the ones you want to pay attention too really.

I'm using Core Temp, it is a free program so I will take ir for what its worth. So with my ambient temp what am I looking at if I do purchase the RX360 and attempt to over clock to 4.8-5.0, because hyrdrored said I was being optimistic hoping for 55c, AMD chips aren't suppose to go over 61c.

That's my fault i now nothing about AMD. In my office it's 19.3C at idle i sit right around 20C. At full load BOINC'ing at 4.8 max at 56C and at 5.0 I max at 61C but that is an I7. Was are your load temps on air?

AMD chips usually run cooler than Intel chips, we aren't suppose to go over 61C and I have seen some people run their Intel chips into the mid or high 70's. With Prime95 running I usually cap out at around 48c with my cpu at 4.5GHz while on air.

Yes, the sensor on the new ones seems to be awful at lower temps. There was three other post on here where the chips were reading under 8 C on air with normal room temperature.

OP, a good waterblock with decent pump, fans, and rad you should be able to get your goal. Only way to know is to go ahead and try it wink.gif
