I used to be an avid xbox 360 player. I have two tenth prestiges on call of duty on cod5 and cod6. I used to play Skyrim on console, but bought it for my pc to compare it side by side. Console graphics are horrid and I'm never going back.

A "mature" gamer enjoys gaming for what it is, no matter the platform and doesn't start threads/posts/flame wars about it. Instead he/she minds their own business and keeps playing whatever and however they choose and not giving a damn what other people think/play

Case in point, I used to do this back and forth "favoritism" between PC and console for years on many forums.  Then I got older, I made more money and now I afford and play both. End of that crap.

Sigh....

**True Gamers**, those with the most to win or lose, don't care about PCs or Consoles. They probably keep most of their "gaming" data on Main Frames still...

They also care more about Greece defaulting and Chinese currency manipulation more than they do about graphic resolution or frames per second.

As for me I prefer PC, mostly 'cause I can't make those controller thingys work right o.O

But if you like Consoles, Fly at 'er and have fun smile.gif

I've read and understood every point throughout this thread so far as being mostly wrong, but this just stood out as one of the worst points you've made. I honestly doubt the fact that you've played a game on PC in the last five years, simply because this isn't how PC games have worked in over five years.

Updating games on PC is actually quicker than updating a game on a console.

Let's take an Xbox 360 for instance:
1. Power on console; put disc in drive.
2. Wait for game to load.
3. Prompt saying an update is required, else you'll be signed out of Xbox LIVE.
4. Accept update. Wait for update to install.
5. Console restarts; wait for games to load again.
6. Play your game.

... and PC on Steam/Origin:
1. Open Steam/Origin.
2. Update automatically installs.
3. Play your game.

Your definition of a true gamer is wrong because there is no such thing as a true gamer. There are game enthusiasts or fanboys that like games and enjoy them quite a bit, but there's no "true gamer." That term hasn't even been used in years because it completely lost its meaning.

You title is wrong, a true game would always prefer a PC over a console. FPS are impossible to aim on a console.

Console has the most important advantage.

Better mic/chat support. Yes, PC's support these. But most PC gamers don't use their mics. On the console - far more do.

This makes the experience for me. I wouldn't game if people didn't talk much. Thus as much as I love PC graphic I can't stand to play it.
