FX-8120 CPU NB Voltage & Frequency

Thread Starter
Just wondering what are the stock voltages for the cpu nb voltage. My bios is default at 1.175v for 2200 Frequency. Just wondering if the voltage is wrong, because this sint a 9 series chipset, its an 8 series chipset, so not really optimized for this processor.

Please someone give me some stock and slight oc cpu nb voltages and frequencies for the amd fx-8120.

I have my cpu/nb set to 2600mhz @ 1.3v , under load it goes up to 1.38v . My stock voltage was 2200mhz@1.2v . I am running a different board than you so you might not be able to hit the same, especially since no cpu's are created equal. but that can be a good reference point for you.

How do u check it under load? is it VIN5 or VIN1 in HWMonitor?

Just put load on your cpu and watch it. picture below of where it is on HWmonitor. "Value" is the real time voltage, then it shows the min/max

That is strange, is it up to date ? seems like it would show us pretty much the same thing. usually i do not use HWmonitor even tho i have it. i have been using AIDA64,i own it now but it has a free trial.

not do kick a dead thread but how does this effect overclocking? is it better to use auto or fixed at a certian frequency?
