Xonar STX + M10 = Amazing.

Thread Starter
Just installed my stx, I've had the Swans M10s for a while now (going on nearly 3 years), and although I have always thought they sounded good, with the new card they sound outstanding!

I tried the STX with my 595's first, and although they sound a lot better also, the difference in the sound of the m10s is a bit more dramatic in my opinion.

My whole music library is in FLAC, and I am extremely pleased with the jump from onboard audio to the STX, one of the better purchases I have made for my computer overall.

I know my setup isn't anything great, and plenty of people here have much better, but for a man on a budget I am very pleased.

Just felt like I needed to make a thread about this I am so freaking happy.

Anyone else using the STX and the Swans M10?

Are you coming from onboard? If so, I can see why you're so ecstatic. I've heard each of the components separately but not together - both great pieces of hardware, enjoy.

Yeah straight from onboard.

Have the day off today and the house to myself so time to enjoy blasting some music all day.

I wouldn't think FLAC is really making a difference though. I don't even bother with lossless with my setup.redface.gif

Nice hardware though.

Nice hardware though.

Well I rip all of my CD's in flac, so it doesn't matter really, but yeah, from what I've heard its not a huge difference, but any little bit helps and I have the space for the rips, so w/e.
