Games you wish you hadn't bought - Page 105

A few of these games may have fell off a truck but nevertheless I regretted wasting my time on them, here goes (this should really be its own thread) These won't really be listed in any specific order but the ones that I think of first are probably the biggest failures.

World of Warcrap
At first the game was amazing because I never played RPGs, in fact I hated RPGs until morrowind and this was one of maybe 10 RPGs (if that) I had played. The game.... I don't know where to start but basically once you learn about max level and raids it becomes a rat race and a job rather than a game. When I first leveled which took me 24days or something because I did a lot of world pvp (there was world pvp at that time too), bgs, exploring, and I didnt do quests I just didnt care. It was only interesting because I never played rpgs. There was a sense of scale and accomplishment but it got replaced by welfare and casualized gameplay that took any depth and skill, no matter how little it was, out of the game. Also the people are morons. I can't even begin to complain about the social *******, losers,.... ugh I cant even get into it....... its just like 99.9999% of people in wow are complete trash I couldn't even beleive it.\

I stuck around for arena like a fool because I loved arena but I some found out it was imbalanced and how impossible it is to get a motivated reliable team, because if you cant practice how can you get better? A friend told me to play starcraft and I did a little but he doesnt know how to teach and just wanted to crap on me. Later in sc2 I destroyed him because all he knew were pros builds and didnt have any other skills. But in Arena basically people who sucked would pay others to play their accounts or with them so you would join up and face the best players and have no chance, not even to learn. It was completely broken...... which leads me into

Halo 3 + Xbox 360
Halo 1 was amazing. I raped all my friends. Then I beat them in Halo (pls dont ban lol). We used to have lans for Halo 1 and 2 and we would pit like 3v5 or 2v6 and it didnt matter the odds whatever team I was on won. It was epic. When halo 2 online came out it was great at first but there were a ton of cheaters which made it nearly impossible to progress because standby, host abuse, modders, and any other type of cheater would ruin your win lose percentage. Not so bad right? Except it makes you tilt and you don't learn anything from the terribads you are playing. Halo 3 didnt have as much cheating, at least I didnt experience it as much, but I no longer cared, no payoff. Halo 2+3 campaign were trash. I wasted a ton of money when I should have borrowed it from a friend and leveled their account or played with them or w/e because everyone wants to play with me. ]

Diablo 3
No skill, full of cheaters/botter/scammers, just a pure greed play by blizzard. Even making money back doesnt justify how terrible this game is.

Oblivion + Skyrim
300+ hours logged on morrowind on crappy xbox version, maybe 80 each on the other two, ultimate crap. And you go 80hrs thats pretty good, no, its not. You don't understand my personality I finish things almost no matter what. FO3 I have 200 maybe, great game and I plan to play it again modded, same for morrowind. There just isnt a reason to play any of these games son release because mods are required to make them halfway decent. I modded skyrim recently and it is barely passable, the magic combat is trash and the game is easy even on master which no strategy or skill, diablo 3 type difficulty lol they duz moar dmg u mad son?

WC3
Trash. First game I ever played I quit, and I played a lot of games. I dont know what it was because I loved every other RTS game and beat every mission and did mulitplayer. WC3 was just such a crappy game with taxes low units and lame fantasy crap. I still love RTS fav genre by far.

C&C 4, RA3
Another victim of EA. Absolute trash games. CC4 was even worse because no bases and the ending was open ended with no more titles........

EA'd games
DA2, Westwood games got worse, Rare is gone nothing matched goldeneye or BFD. BF3 was terrible and they ruined sniping. Its just a money grab with $200 total to play the game with BF4 already on its way LOL. There are more but I dont want to think about it. ME3 is supposed to be terrible but I havent played it. ME1 + 2 were ok, not great but decent. Remind me of KOTOR which was a pretty great game.

Doom 3
Quake 4
Witcher 1+2 (just boring and you go from weak to super OP)

The Walking Dead
I cant reach that brick. I will talk about this game a little bit, it was a terrible game but a good experience. None of your choices matter and even though I sided with kenny every single time he still got mad at me, I dont know if its a bug or what. Also the choices are very limiting, none of them fit my decision making at all and they are too fast sometimes. I can understand the fast ones but there should be more choices even if the choices dont matter.

I really wanted to handcuff cement, probably her leg since her arms are too small to my hand so I could eat her. Theres a walking dead youtube poop video that extremely hilarious if you played the game too btw.

Runescape
I know shut up. I had a job for two weeks where I literally had nothing to do. So I played runescape. Its so horrible, it might have actually been more tedious than the job I had where I had to do nothing.

You pretty much listed some of the best games made and said they were trash.

The only one that deserves to be on your list is C&C4 but even that game wasn't trash. It was just so different from the others in its concept that it didn't really deserve the C&C moneygrab name, which is why most people regret buying it because they assumed it would be the same play style.

Also, I came on here to give my one title in 2013, that I know already, that I will not regret buying.

Agreed. You called out some ground breaking game's for being trash, even though at the time when they were released they were spectacular... I half expected Atari pong to make his list....

STALKER was great, even with its brokenness. It was still fun to play, if you could deal with the extremely high difficulty. None of the glitches I ever encountered were game breaking.
