Games you wish you hadn't bought - Page 72

GTA IV : Was seriously disappointed with this one... The older ones were full of humour. This version makes sad attempts at it, and is too dark. Ive played almost every GTA game, and this one was a massive disappointment.

Bully: Another Rockstar entry. Frankly, i gave this game a good shout, played for about 15 hours, and was getting more and more bored as i went allong.

Caesar IV: Caeser III was an excellent game, The whole Sierra city-building thing is great, except for one thing, once you've played one of them, you've played them all. To my mind, this game was needlessly laggy, and offered nothing new.

I've played a few hours of Mafia II by now. It's a great looking game but I really have no interest in all of the driving.

I didn't expect to get in to Dragon Age but spent $20 on account of the great reviews. I never figured out how to get out of the first castle.

I've never even figured out how to start Audiosurf. I get to the front page but from there I don't know where to go.

I haven't gotten in to Lara Croft:GOL, Section 8, Torchlight, Orcs Must Die, Mass Effect or Dead Space. Assassin's Creed (the original) was very repetitive and boring to me. Actually, I puttered out pretty quickly on Crysis, L4D2, and Bioshock also.

I got it on PC tongue.gif, so damn hard to get up the first wall thing, I tried for a hour doing these crazy "user friendly" combinations until I gave up out of boredom frown.gif

+1 on all counts.

Funny enough, there was more "GTA" style fun to be had in the DLC.

I wished I didn't purchase Red Orchestra 2 after playing the beta.

Asked Steam support for a refund so I could buy F1 2011 instead.

Taking money out of hungry Indie developers pockets, you should be ashamed.

But you played the beta and still bought the game.

I don't think a refund is fair in that case. You knew what you were getting.

It's like getting free samples of a food, enjoying it, buying said food, eating it, not liking it, and wanting your money back.

No, the beta was unlocked once you "bought" the pre-order.

I didn't like it, so I got refunded and bought a game I did like.

I totally agree with caesar IV it was a pretty big let down from the third one. There was always that 1 square that dissallowed you to build anything on GUI was alot of a mess then Caesar 3.
I regretted BF3 didnt spend as much time as I wished to play it. Also Kingdom of Amalur was another bought on impulse, the demo was interesting made me want to play it but after getting through most of the game it got kind of boring.
