Folding questions

Ok guys, I got a few questions for you guys and folding.
1:I want to fold in windows, however it seems the bigadv units are always down, which is not suitable for me since i can not be continuously connected to the internet. Will these be getting fixed? Soon?
2:I just bought a 7970, however, if bigadv are going to be fixed soon, i would return it and wait for a gtx 680 so that i can fold on that also. They can fold bigadv correct?
3:If i do decide to fold in linux, can i fold using my gpu also? or would I have to do it through a vmplayer and use cpu on that, and then gpu just in windows?
4: Did they change anything with folding, other then not letting 4core do 12 core in linux?

Thanks guy! Really would love to fold, however bonic is better since it is not internet dependent. however if bigadv are fixed, that works well anyway.

1) bigadv no longer works in windows you have to be in linux
2) GPUs are uanble to do bigadv they have something similar called advmethods (although CPU has this to). You can get higher PPD using that but it is not really much better than 10-20%.
3) Yes you can still use the GPU while folding on the CPU in linux. I however had some problems with the CPU client hogging cycles and slowing my GPU down.
4) yes they introduced new bigadv WU that are going to be bigger then the ones currently out. They also talked about shortening the current bigadv deadlines but cant remember by how much or when that is going to happen. Finally they bumped the core requirement up to16 cores. A dedicated 2500k rig in native linux can do the bigadv. A 2600k can probably get by with using the rig but results will vary
