Civ5 worth the buy?

Thread Starter
I have Civ4 and all the expansion packs and I want to know if Civ5 is worth the money. Anyone with personal experiences and such. Civ4 to me in one of the best games ever made. Iv Seen my dad play Civ5 and it looks so weird compared to 4. But in the end it doesn't matter how it looks it matters how fun it is. Anyone have a rating? Should I give in and buy it? Thanks guys in advanced!

to be honest, I haven't played any Civ. games but Civ. 2,3 and 5, and I must say, 5 is AWESOME!
It it still basically the same thing, what improves a lot... a LOT, are the graphics tongue.gif
I'd give it a 8/10 on its genre.

Well, coming from an civ 1 player I say you should buy it, especially when the new expansion pack is coming which will add a lot.

Civilization 4 is better though imo, since it is more refined, stable and complex, and Civ 5 dumbed things down, but I still love it tongue.gif

Buy it!

If you're a Civ player I'd say you'll enjoy it. A little different than previous Civ games but still a good game IMO.

Without a doubt, yes, you should totally buy it. It will seem a little weird after Civ IV, but once you get into it, you will LOVE it. Sure, there's still a few things missing that Civ IV had all along, but the combat system makes up for it and even more! No more endless AI armies running from town to town sacrificing 10 catapults each battle.

You should wait though since there is a expansion set coming and I think you could get a nice combo pack if you waited until it comes out thumb.gif

Either way, get it.
