Strange memtest86 screen

Thread Starter
I recently installed a new Crucial 128GB SSD as my system drive that turned out to be defective. During the time I had the SSD installed I wasn't quite sure what was causing my problems and I ran memtest86 to see if there was any issues with the memory. I would let it run overnight. When I checked it in the morning it was still running but the screen was flashing strange characters. I could not tell if there were any errors because the text was so garbled. Eventually the SSD just died, would not boot so I uninstalled it. I ran memtest86 again. It was OK while I was up but again in the morning I had those weird characters again. Since I removed the SSD I system has been working great. There does not seem to be any issues with my ADATA memory. I'm wondering what is causing memtest to act like that? Could it possibly be a graphic card issue? Below are a couple of pics I took of the screen and my system configuration. BTW, my i5 2500K is OC'd to 4.5ghz if that may matter. Thanks.

Did you do the test without the SSD in? Also, try running it non-overclocked.

Yes I ran the test without the Crucial SSD with the same results. But the system drive I'm using now is also a SSD drive. I went back to the SanDisk SSD that I had installed before I tried the Crucial drive. The difference is the Crucial was a 128GB, Sata 6.0 drive and the SanDisk is a 120GB, Sata 3.0 drive. I didn't try running memtest86 without overclocking. I'll give that a try today.
