You are, of course, right. If they can reduce the power consumption a bit while overclocking and give a bit of a performance boost then I will seriously consider upgrading to one of AMD's newest CPUs later this year. As it stands now I wouldn't gain a lot by buying anything current. I would gain multi threaded wise but not enough to make it worth the expense.
