I sure will not buy mass effect 3. Maybe il buy it once it hits $10 but not on release. EA has turned into a full out cash whore.

Shocking, DLC before the game is even released. Reminds me of Dragon Age with their Day One DLC. Good thing I don't touch these games until they are $5. Never bother wasting money with DLC either.
the reason they do this day 1 DLC is so they can collect money from console gamers who rent/buy used copies of the game. they are hoping those people then in turn spend 15 bucks to complete the game so they can cash in on the used market.

Thanks...mad.gif
I think users on OCN should start getting infractions against them for spoiling stuff like this.

Really....so you mean to tell me you didn't know even tho it's been buzzing nearly none stop for over 1 year of who this mystery squadmate was? hm, odd... but don't get pissy with me if you want to get pissy with someone get pissy with Bioware or EA for letting so much information leak out in big chunks so that anyone can put the puzzle together in no time, even tho they've tried to deny it but their Demo's and User leaks ect. proved otherwise and was verified by BW themselves as time went on. thumb.gif

It's just a ripoff. You can't ask 8 or 10 bucks for just a squadmate and 2 shallow sidequests. Back in my day we bought expansion packs. O boy, that had real value!

the whole bundle of the CE version would be around $125-$145 but your getting it at $80. i broke it down to numbers which can be reasonable for each item if released individually if they were priced with XBOX PSN or BSN it's been already confirmed that From the Ashes will be 800points which is $10 bucks. i didn't even add in the comic book which would be $5-$10 itself cause i figure the amount was high enough as it is.

The bundle ain't worth 125-145 dollar.. 80 dollar for the physical version might look like a good deal for some. They give you 2 tiny tin figurines, an art book and a comic book. Not a big value for me but if someone else values it...okay
But the digital deluxe version ain't worth it's money.

well EA is a publicly traded company yes? its not surprising they would do anything to drive up profit. Thats why i value valve so much, the company is owned by its employees, and the only people they need to please are themselves, not investors who only care about money

Well here comes more EA money mongering, once again destroying the gaming community. We must pay an extra $10 for a DLC that AFFECTS the plot? Really EA. This should have been in the game not a DLC. Its like oh heres the game that you bought but if you wanna finish the rest of the story give us an extra $10. Thats a no purcahse from me for sure. Discount bin here I come. But of course EA doesnt want us to buy used. Well up yours EA.

This sums it up alot better then me.

It's exactly the same Zaeed in ME2. It's so that they get some money from the used game market while giving a boost to the DDE buyers. I swear, people hate EA for being a profit based business... it's nonsensical.

Zaeed and Kasumi didnt really add to the story. They were just separate missions followed by one line dialogue. I finished the ME2 story without having to pay extra to see the ending, that goes for DA2 also. You dont have to buy it, and if you dont you still get to play the game and see the ending just like everyone else. The prothean is just a quick addon like the characters in ME2 where you couldnt have a conv with them after you completed their loyalty missions.
