How to properly measure how much DPI I have?

Are there any precise programs for that? Enotus gives me kinda random results, from 800 to 1000
post #2 of 6
Pxcalc.com gives pretty neat results. The resolution is detected automatically in most cases. Just put in the diagonal screen size in inches and you're done!

If you're trying to not have pixel skipping due to a low DPI, don't even worry. When you're in game and moving your mouse, its calculated by angles. Not DPI. DPI essentially makes your movement faster in game.

Pteek, I'd hardly ask about monitor stuff in mice subsection of this forums biggrin.gif anyways, maybe CPI would be a better term for it? So any suggestions for a program? (if the thing you posted measures mouse sensitivity then I'm sorry but couldn't find it :-P)

Sorry, I misinterpreted your post.

What mouse do you have?

You can do it with Enotus, just don't release left button. Try multiple times and calculate average.
