I just updated my BIOS to the latest version and it appears to have added some features to my audio system. Specifically it added Dolby Home Theater v4. Now in my sound properties I have a Dolby tab with some options... there is a button to turn the feature on/off and 3 other buttons appearing to convey Theater/Music/Game modes.

I played around with these settings and it seems they manipulate the tone of the sounds. Turning the entire feature on/off just seems to make the sounds output louder or quieter.

Does anyone know any more about this Dolby Home Theater v4 that they could share with me?

I'm one of those people that need to know why and how something works and all they gave me was an on/off button and three pictures to choose from lol.
