I usually play games like shift 2 unleashed and ashes cricket 2009...and it crashed once for both the games.... it says memory dump. is 4 gb ram not enough? or is it any other issues...i havent modified the laptop in any way...it is 3 weeks old now.....

also one thing is that my graphics details in DXDIAG says approx total memory as 2838MB, so is it because my graphics is being shared from ram thus reducing it?

how can i check if my ram or graphic card has any problems? I dont think ill turn it back to the shop, but if you guys can help me by telling me how to check it myself...

What are your temps? Since it's a laptop I would first suspect overheating.

You can use this to check.

press CTR.shift and esc and see how much Ram is being use when you launch those games if it goes over 3gb it means you dont have enough to play them \.
or download Gpuz and see ho wmuch GPu ram is being used
