Sick of these electric cars...over priced pieces of crap that run on the DIRTIEST energy in the world....COAL. Not to mention that in the US we cannot even meet current supply of demand (rolling blackouts in a lot places) so how in the hell can we afford 2 million+ electric cars on the nations grid?

Racist, yokel-like, ignorant, misinformed, etc. People like you are why the generic American stereotype was created.

The Dodge Challenger SRT-8 is a horrible car; in fact, most of Dodge's SRT line is utter rubbish. I would've preferred less power and more attention to chassis, suspension, and road feel then to drive a 425HP brick with jelly suspension. Not to mention it's ergonomics are poorly designed; ever try to check your blind-spot in one of those? Rubbish.

Starting position really doesn't matter. If you have a good car you can come through the pack by passing cars and pit strategy. Pit stops, yes those are important. Drafting/slipstreaming; other than Daytona and Talladega it doesn't matter one bit. The car that gets through the corners the fastest will have by far the best chance to win the race.

almost all electric cars are phenominal with 0-60

but after that it gets pretty lame..

SHouldnt have Gears so thats why electric can get to 60 so much faster

even the prius, my friend had one, damn thing was zippy but you only gonna get to 80mph lol

TopGear showed off this really sporty lookin gokart like Car, sort of Forula1 looking, but it held the record for 0-60, I cannot remember what it was =/

Define 'good car'.

NASCAR's regulations have become to bonkers that all of the cars are virtually the same.

Getting a car through a corner 'the fastest' is meaningless if you don't factor in loss of downforce caused by drafting/slip-streaming.

Actually, electric cars have better 0-60 because their engines produce maximum, instantaneous torque, unlike conventional petrol engines that require the engine speed to accelerate.

I live a quarter mile from a Porsche dealership. Have you seen the Panamera? What a sweet car. They've got one out front now that is black on black with black rims even. I'd take it any day over a Tesla.

Porsche's attention to their cars astounds me. Even the build quality, steering/road feel, suspension, braking, engine compartment, interior, quality of materials, etc. on my '85.5 944 is outstanding - especially considering its age and the fact that it's an entry level. You could never tell they used a torsion bar setup on the rear suspension. No details were spared, and aside from Ferrari, BMW, and Mercedes, I've never seen such attention on an entry-level.

It's not too hard to perfect those details when they are pretty much the same details for almost three decades. tongue.gif

That makes you equally as ignorant, for stereotyping someone else, hypocrite much. (i'm not even from TN, so nice stereotyping on your post, from MI)
I've worked in Motor City before the recession, the city is just a wasteland now, because of people like you and kwame killpatrick, you sound like someone who lives in a secluded area, do as i say not as i do types, you wouldn't know much about the world around you, so dont speak about things you know nothing about, it makes you look like an idiot.

HA GOOD ONE! laugher.gif
You must have never driven a Dodge Challenger im a mech engineer near Spring Hill, TN (at General Motors), i've worked on body jobs, transmission development, calibration, fuel cell and prismatic jobs you have no idea what your talking about, and/or wanting unreal expectations out of a car.
