"Ultimately, though, the Blade was never about specs, and despite its maker's penchant for calling it a "gaming" machine, it's really just a striking, fast and beautiful laptop. Despite its flaws, the Blade is greater than the sum of its parts. We're cognizant $2,799 is a tough pill to swallow, though, and despite our rational selves saying "no" we've nonetheless grown quite attached after spending a week with it. For those of you with that kind of dispensable cash, go for it -- who knows, you've probably also got enough laying around to build a serious dedicated gaming rig. Personally, we're waiting for Razer to ditch the LCD-touchpad (but keep the customizable keys) and offer a similarly specced 15-incher for around two grand. Razer will really have a winner then, and yes, we'll take two."

The one, the expensive, low battery life laptop that I will not be buying.....

Just because you can't afford it, doesn't mean it's not amazing and worth the money to those who can. Just see my sig. thumb.gif

Er, I rather put that price tag into a decked out rig. I wouldn't waste money on a mobile laptop to game and everything gets super hot and loud with the fan spins up to 6000RPM...

Also battery life would suck so bad if you're not gaming on AC power.

Mobile remains as a work/job device for me and as for gaming, I'll stick with desktop which is where it is suppose to be.

It's not that I can't afford, it's just I don't see the value about getting that notebook. What worth? You may question me the same thing, what worth on getting some expensive MacBook Pro? There is a lot of reason why I did consider MacBook for my professional career. Anyways. =P

My friend and I played with it at CES, and it was crap. It was running BF3 SP at the time, and the graphics looked like they were set to Low/Med, and the thing still had trouble processing it. As for that little video display, it couldn't even play a simple video without *major* framerate issues. We're talking one frame every two, three seconds.

Sorry, pal. But you're missing the point entirely.

It's not about being able to afford it or not. It's a gimmicky laptop that has underwhelming technology for an excessive price tag.

Everything about this laptop makes me cringe. In the review it says "abysmal audio" because they put the speakers on the BOTTOM OF THE LAPTOP! The specs are crud, we all know that. The price is OUTRAGEOUS. We all know that. I don't see a single reason anyone would want to buy it. I hope Razer gets a slap in the face with ZERO sales.

I hope it sells well. So they can keep making great gaming peripherals redface.gif

Don't rage at me for liking the brand please
