I'm not going to be happy for spending on $250 card with bended bracket and I need to fix it myself.

The shipping cost was in perfect condition so I've been waiting for them to forward me a brand new one. I don't want to bend the one I have since they most likely dropped the thing.

How can shipping cost be in perfect condition?

I did the RMA service with Asus last month.

Story

Asus Rampage III extreme.

While cleaning my cpu loop, I unmounted my CPU and cleaned the chip with a towel for electrical component. I also cleaned the CPU socket and I ACCIDENTLY Bent a pin in the CPU socket. You coudn't see it with your bare eyes, I had to buy a magnifying glass to locate the damaged pin and you could barely see it. My girlfriend tried to repair the bent pin with a needle (smaller hands) without success.

So I RMA'ed the board without mentionning the bent pin and they didnt notice it, they sent a brand new board that is now on sale.

I think I just got lucky

But the first woman employee who took your case is probably just incompetent and forgot your folder or she just did bad work.

I did the support with Asus Canada

That does sound lucky!

I forgot to report back my phone call. I received another person who said that the case is still active and they are currently looking for a new 6950 in inventory to give me. They said if it wasn't available by Wednesday that I should call back to figure out something else. I'm going to ask for a 7970 muhaha (I can dream right?)

Good luck man. I dread ever having to RMA with Asus again. I have RMA'd with MSI 3 times and everything went fast an easy. Asus not so much. They seem to treat you like the bad guy until you overwhelmingly prove your case. Not good customer service. Now their product quality is good so you do not have to deal with their service as much, but service is a joke. You are just going to have to keep at them. They will make sure the process is long and painful but will eventually get you squared away at the end. Then you will have this brief moment of bliss as they seemed to have made you very happy. Then later you will think, "why did they put me through all that time and effort?"

you got a better chance of seeing the titanic floating again then getting a 7970 out of this. :)

Sounds odd, I had my Nokia Lumia 800 sent to a repair center, when it came back it was scratched all over, I was pissed and went back to the store, they sent it back again, I got a new device, no problems there.
I'd probably just be mad and call them about that, as soon as possible.
Edit: I see you already did, let's hope for the best!
