This kinda makes me wanna go back to msi for gpu's...I have been hearing a lot of questionable asus rma issues lately. Only thing is every rma that goes smooth rarely gets reported, its the bad ones that get noticed, but I also like how msi rma is local and they let me willcall.

Nothing as of yet. They said they'd email me out a shipping label, which hasn't come yet.

I'm 15 minutes from EVGA in Brea, so I think they will be my next brand if I go Nvidia.

Asus probably produces more cards that EVGA....

EVGA is the biggest NVIDIA partner in the US. They have presence in Europe and minor presence in Latin America and Asia.

Asus is a huge company that has a more global presence especially in the big Asian markets..

Dude that REALLY sucks, I can tell you im not too interested in asus gpu's after this, I have an asus gtx570 and love it, but if I had to go through what you did I would be PISSED! It wont stop me from getting their mobo though lol, I love those way too much.

Does evga allow for willcall rma? Im not too far from brea either, can make it there on my lunch break if I needed too. I love how we have sooooo many pc companies out here lol I loved how msi treated me with their rma on a mobo I had, Im sure its the same for the gpu's since it was the same location for those. They are in city of industry, down the street from newegg will call

I live at Cal Poly Pomona so City of Industry is right around the corner. So many great companies in that area. Like just the other day I found out Phantek is in Walnut.

Like mwave is in Walnut!

So I called them again, and talked to someone new.

This guy was extremely helpful and told me he was sorry for this mess and sent me my shipping label and confirmation of RMA email.

I'm just excited to get this over with rolleyes.gif

Grats man. Too bad asus dropped the ball, since it only took 4 weeks to almost fix it.

exactly...

I was going to ask for a new card while offering a little cash, but I didn't want to deal with that non-sense.

Yeah lol love it too, Zotac and Gigabyte are on the same street as msi/newegg too. Zotac is small so probably just a warehouse but the gigabyte building is as big as msi and thats big, I havent purchases gigabyte stuff so dont know if they rma there but they might. There is also a new place in industry/walnut off grand/valley blvd kinda, you might want to look into NCIX (seach ncix usa), they are like a smaller newegg, they will call and are super nice, customer service is AMAZING!!! so I hope they grow their inventory. Sometimes they have a killer deal on stuff, got my CM quick fire keyboard there $15 cheaper than newegg. Hum....Might be forgetting some one too, oh yeah microcenter but they are further in orange/tusin. Good place for a $180 2500k though, only reason why i tried intel and sold my 1100t, I wish I could have kept both though lol.

I stumbled upon this thread after a web search for "ASUS RMA." I have an ASUS motherboard that I have to RMA, and after reading this entire thread, I'm dreading the process.

Anyway, please let us know the final outcome of this saga when you receive a replacement. If I had to guess how your card sustained that kind of damage, it looks like the computer used to test your card may have fallen off the workbench with the DVI cable firmly attached. If the DVI cable tightened while falling; i.e. not enough slack for the computer to hit the ground, or if the computer was "reeled-in" like a fish from the shop floor, the top of the PCI bracket would bend that way if fastened by screws to the computer case. This might also be why you have loose screws on the PCI bracket, and one completely missing near a DVI port. And if a fall like this took place while the computer was running, it would be the equivalent of removing your video card while the system is powered on - that would surely cause damage.

Good Luck!
