Xen is a close second, but has some quirks when it comes to backups and such.
I run my workstation with an FX-8120, Gigabyte 990FXA mobo and 16 gigs of gskill 1333 ram and it virtualizes like a mofo! If you are having bugs with Virtual Box, I would suggest making sure that your software is up to date first off. If that doesn't solve the problem, backup your VM's to .OVF files and migrate them to another hypervisor or virtualization platform.
Xenserver is a fun one to play around with. I have an old dual core 775 socket machine I installed xenserver on and I just remote desktop into my VM's when I want to fiddle with something. I would have run them on my BD machine, but they are simply server 2008 dhcp server and a few other things and I didn't need them on my main workstation. On my workstation, I run 4 instances of windoze xp, 2 windows 7 machines and 3 different linux distros. The BD workstation doesn't even break a sweat with them all running. I'm thinking if I upgrade to 32 gigs of ram, I could run 12-15 VM's inside of it.

Nice! I run KVM on Debian with a couple of Windows and Linux VMs. Now that Xen is back in mainline we'll see a horse race between Xen and KVM and hopefully the two will be merged in the end, taking the best features of both.
