Even if DICE WEREN'T world famous for basically NEVER supporting/fixing BF2/BF2142....

Even if Battlefield 3 DIDN'T have the most updates/patches

Even if Battlefield 3 DIDN'T have a TONNE of fixes coming up that are based on overall community concensus.

Even if Battlefield 3 DIDN'T have the most post launch support since forever..

Certain people will still act as though DICE suddenly stopped supporting their game or their community because EA are "teh bad naughty suxor boy", even while receiving the most support ever in the history of Battlefield........oh wait rolleyes.gif.

Maybe we should make a petition so that we can get the kind of support Battlefield 2 got? I'm sure all the vets would love that.

That way, we'll only have to wait years for A patch, as opposed to many per few months.....oh wait rolleyes.gif

Lol same. I haven't played since Skyrim came out, I can do this easily.

Didn't they just release a large detailed sample of what the next patch will include, today? lol

DICE/EA has a lot to mess with here, (have to give them a little leeway). Launched with a completely new web-browser based system, on a new platform (origin + on all platforms), with a fairly massive and intricate game. Bound to be a few (TON) of issues with these factors in play.

I think they are doing fairly well addressing the issues as they come up, could it be better? probably, could it be worse? definitely.

It will be interesting to see how it goes, some people are getting burned out already, other's still love the game greatly. I'm curious to know if the game is still relevant in 3+ years, or just another FPS that launched big and died out.

Lol, 24hrs.

Last week was the first time I played since Mid December. That was just due to being too busy. wink.gif

I received emails from EA saying "Where have you been soldier?!".

They're full of crap about how much it would cost to implement. Its a frigging console port, the console version has voip why doesn't the PC. Simple Answer = they want to stop making games for PC so the best way is to get PC players to stop buying their games.

Personally, I think EA is putting pressure upon them. Within the development of the game DICE was ecstatic about the PC side of the franchise and suddenly things got very quiet and less technically focused in the middle of the summer - just before the game was released DICE came out and said that they had spent the better half of the summer focusing on the console version.

The fixes that have been implemented are shell deep. And playing around with gun balance is just coloring on the egg. It's my impression that EA is pushing DICE to focus on DLC to keep it rolling in.

I agree fully but I also think that there are some aspects of the game that are dancing too closely around COD's feet and have strayed too far from the ideal of BF. If for anything, I support the blackout because of this.

Devs just need to rid themselves of the publisher virus. It's too bad they all couldn't do what Double Fine just did.

I have a few nitpicks with the game, but this is just stupid and out of line.

"YOU WON'T GIVE US EVERTYTHING WE ASK FOR, SO WE'RE GOING TO PROTEST ABOUT IT!"

This is the same load of crap as the wallstreet protesters. Just because some CEO who pays more taxes than you worked harder to get a better job for himself doesn't mean you deserve his money.

Pure idiocy on that site.
