[battlefieldo] Blackout Battlefield - Page 15

I actually enjoy not hearing people ***** in my ear about being killed. This is the reason I don't game on Xbox any longer, I get tired of hearing how many 12 year olds had sex with my mom the previous night.

oh i remember thread after thread ripping MW3 and crowning BF3 as the greatest game in the history of games around these parts. now we've degenerated to this. it is pretty funny actually.

soon people will be saying pirating is ok because this isn't really a game as buggy as it is and developers haven't earned their money, and of course this will lead to the developers saying "you know what, screw the pc gamers. they don't deserve their own product and they'll be lucky if they get a console port."

the death of pc gaming is going to be brought on by pc gamers.

Biggest problem is dice listening to cry babbies like this, Besides fixing glitches and adding new assets ect. I hate when they mess with the game play too much especially when you have been playing the game for months and have to relearn how something works or they nerf something so bad no one uses it anymore.

DICE has been ignoring the community? O_____o This is news to me. I've been following patch/tweak information since the release of the game. I'm constantly up to date with the stuff DICE is working on to please the community. Just earlier this week I was reading the massive list of weapon tweaks and bug fixes planned for the next patch, many of them based on what the community itself has asked for. There's new information released pretty much weekly..

What exactly is the definition of ignoring these days?

*edit* And they just released patch notes for the next patch today just because of this protest. It's freaking massive. Something tells me that they've been working on this patch for quite some time. But nah.. They're totally just ignoring us and leaving us with a broken game.

Paying $60 for a game doesn't give you the right to know the day-to-day operations at DICE. I swear even if gamers were given the ability to stand over the developer's and tester's shoulders, they'd still be unsatisfied.

The message has already been received. That's all you can do. DICE can't just flip a switch and deliver the perfect patch next day. Weeks of planning, development and testing will have to go into polishing an already 98% excellent game. Honestly it's pretty good of DICE and EA to spend the capital on these micro-fixes as the majority of the community can enjoy the game just fine as is.

Seems like every game on the PC is getting berated by the players these days.

I love BF3, been playing since 1942. Don't have anything to complain about at all. I don't feel like the dev's owe me anything.

Hear hear!

Been an avid player of every single Battlefield game since 1942 as well.

People forget that every single major multiplayer FPS is a daily work in progress. There are simply too many variables - some people want certain changes, others want different changes. Some people want no changes.

At the end of the day, it is impossible to please everyone. I enjoy every single round of BF3 I play because, honestly, I think about all the other options available to me and despite its flaws....Battlefield 3 is the best one. I don't feel like i'm entitled to anything - I paid $60.00 for this game, and it's already provided me with more than 100x that value in entertainment. What else could I ask for?

The usual suspects are in here defending EA/DICE to the death. Id swear we have some EA employees in our midst.

Aaaaaaaaaaat any rate, I can see both sides. There are too many pc gaming whiners who jump to a forum and whine about practically everything.
On the other hand, when I pay $60 for a game I expect it to be practically bug free AND balanced at release, not 3-4 months later. I want to be treated like a valued repeat customer, not a beta tester. EA and the others were allowed leeway before because our games were cheaper, but if they're gonna raise the cost by 20%, then they need to have the majority of the issues worked out before they release it. At month 3 they should really be doing tiny balancing tweaks and closing up exploits

Name a single major multiplayer FPS game that was both "practically" bug free AND balanced at release that didn't need balancing tweaks a few months later.

Don't worry; i'll wait.

And just to save you some trouble...Team Fortress 2, every Counter-Strike iteration, every Battlefield iteration and every CoD iteration failed your above criteria.

I guess i must be a "usual suspect" since I decided not to blindly follow the EA hate train. rolleyes.gif

And please, don't bring up the "when i pay $60.00 for a game" crap; the price is meaningless. You might want to actually research the current cost of video games vs. inflation for the last 30 years before you spout off like $60.00 is some kind of untold fortune.

Counter-Strike was much better than BF3. You just disrespected Counter-Strike by mentioning it in the same sentence as BF3. CS, made by modders, had less bugs than BF3.
