[battlefieldo] Blackout Battlefield - Page 21

I am less worried about the bugs in the game and more worried about Origins EA's version of spyware that they are somehow allowed to get away with. I can play with some bugs and even learn how to combat them but having to install Origin and a browser plugin just to play the game is annoying

If you were an EA shareholder you would be glad they are focusing on making money. It's not like they are doing anything unethical, some people just don't personally like the way they do things.

EA has in its contract with DICE the ability to control all marketing and communication for this game.

EA does this with most, if not all, of its new titles now-a-days.

The developer is not at any fault except that they solicited themselves out to that extent.

I hope you learn your lesson DICE.

You too Crytek.

EDIT;
This is the same reason that there are no mod tools with this release. EA kawk blocked it because they want to control all content for cash milking purposes.

But little did they know you cant milk a bull.

I really hope DICE learns their lesson. Don't become Ubisoft.

Define business ethics for me Billy Madison.

And yes, that is how you ruin the gaming industry. Take the art out of it and make it manufactured.

BF3 is fine. I'm getting as many people as possible together to join a server and counteract this obnoxious internet-whining group's plot.

I don't have any problems with the game. I don't encounter glitches and the game feels pretty balanced. I see no reason to participate in this.

I agree. A boycott doesn't sound middle aged, it sounds very childish.

Aaaaaaaaaaat any rate, I can see both sides. There are too many pc gaming whiners who jump to a forum and whine about practically everything.
On the other hand, when I pay $60 for a game I expect it to be practically bug free AND balanced at release, not 3-4 months later. I want to be treated like a valued repeat customer, not a beta tester. EA and the others were allowed leeway before because our games were cheaper, but if they're gonna raise the cost by 20%, then they need to have the majority of the issues worked out before they release it. At month 3 they should really be doing tiny balancing tweaks and closing up exploits

The same usual suspects are here to bash EA/DICE clearly without even playing the game.

I have had bf3 since launch and still play it regularly, use all the vehicles and have tried most of the weapons. At the current moment everything is balanced, I repeat balanced. I see no OP weaponry, no one spams the same gun. Unlike CS not everyone is using a m4 ak or a sniper or cod with the acr. I actually see everyone carrying a diverse assortment. Vehicles are not OP either, infantry can absolutely destroy vehicles if they work together ala javelins and soflams but most people are to stupid to realize this. There is still bugs yes but that is to be expected with a new engine, the bugs are not game breaking either. The only problem on the balance side I can see is the f35 just gets schooled by the russian fighter due the finicky vtol. I am quite shocked and worried they are changing the weapon stats as they might break an already balanced game. What the game really needs is more maps, the launch ones were poor, while karkand is way better there are not enough of them.

Supports of this, go buy a console and stop ruining PC gaming for the rest of us. You wanna be immature and act like dice has somehow wronged you, thats fine, you are entitled to interpret reality in a completely scewed way if you want to, but stop acting like your little gaming needs are so important that you should protest the company. Its people like this who dont have the ability to predict the outcome of their actions that do this kind of stupid stuff in the first place. This is not going to help any of the things you people are actually whinning about. If anything this will just make it less likely that we will see EA/Dice make PC games in thee future. BF3 is like one of the best PC games of all time and what do PC games do... protest it. Makes me ashammed to be a PC gamer. You people are an embarassment to all of us and I really dont like being associated with any of you who support this.
